Pre-order terms
This translation is for information only. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
A pre-order is the reservation of a product that has not yet been released. These terms explain how it works, before you sign up. Anything not covered here works like any other purchase in our shops.
1. Signing up is not buying
- Signing up costs nothing. There is no deposit or advance payment: you pay nothing until a unit is allocated to you and you go to collect it.
- On the website, to sign up you need an account with a telephone number, which is how the shop contacts you, and you must accept these terms. If the product is marked as high demand, the account must be verified (terms of use, section 4).
- In the shop or by telephone, our staff sign you up, and you do not need an account. If you have one, the reservation goes in its name: we look you up by your first name and surnames. If not, you give us your first name, surnames, telephone number and email address, which we keep with the reservation so that we know whose it is and can contact you, without creating any account for you (privacy policy, section 5).
- When you sign up, you choose how many units you want and which of our two shops you will collect from. Pre-orders are for collection in store only: nothing is shipped.
- We do not limit how many units each person can reserve.
- From the moment you sign up you can see your reservation in your account, and you can withdraw whenever you like before paying, at no cost and without having to give any reason.
- The purchase contract is formed when you pay, not when you sign up.
2. The pre-order timeline
Everything depends on the product's release date, the one shown on its product page:
- Reservations open two weeks before release.
- When the goods arrive at the shop —usually a couple of weeks before release—, the shop allocates the units to the reservations and, if you have been allocated one, calls you on the telephone number you gave us. The call is made when the goods arrive, not on a fixed date: if the supplier is late, so is the call.
- Release day is the deadline for payment. You have until the end of that day, Spanish mainland time, to pay for your unit in the shop.
3. How units are allocated
- The shop allocates in order of arrival: each reservation has its position in the queue of its collection shop, and you can see it in your account. The position is indicative: the shop may skip a reservation for a reason —for example, that the deadline passed without payment or that you do not answer when contacted—, and the skip is recorded with that reason. We tell you this before you sign up so that you know.
- Each allocation is recorded with who made it, when, and who received each unit.
- Club points, once the club exists, do not give priority.
- If fewer units arrive than have been reserved, those available are allocated and the rest keep waiting in case more arrive.
- If no more units are going to arrive, we tell you and your reservation is cancelled at no cost to you: since you have paid nothing, there is nothing to refund.
4. If you do not pay on time
If the end of release day comes and you have not paid, the shop decides, and the decision is taken by a person, not a system:
- As a guideline, the shop holds the unit for you for one more week: it remains yours in the meantime.
- After that, it may release it: the unit you had been allocated is no longer yours, and the shop may give it to another reservation. Who decided and when is recorded.
- If the unit is released, your reservation is not cancelled: it goes back to waiting, without a unit, like the others, in case more arrive.
Losing the unit for not paying costs you nothing, because you have not paid us anything.
5. When you pay
You pay in the shop, when you collect. Paying for a pre-order is buying, and the purchase is made in the shop: it is an in-person purchase, like any other in our shops.
- Returns are not accepted if you change your mind. The 14-day right of withdrawal applies to distance purchases and purchases made away from business premises, and this is neither.
- If the product is faulty or is not what you reserved, you have the legal guarantee: you can ask us to repair or replace it and, if that is not possible or is not done properly, a price reduction or a refund. It lasts three years from when you collect it.
